It's Winter, so what better time than to dive in and create some favorite food-blanket recipes. But first, kids will get to know each other and discuss what they think goes into some of these classic recipes we all love consuming. And since teamwork is the name of the game, the group will work together to cook up some tasty treats the whole family can enjoy. Plus, they'll learn that cooking is more than just mixing ingredients together, it's an experience that helps develop math skills while promoting confidence and an overall feeling of fun. So break out the aprons (and some eggs), put on a chef's hat, and stir up some fun!
Gather a group of friends to turn up the fun, and the price goes down for everyone.
Teacher Matt is an award-winning script writer, editor, and Hollywood storyteller. His credits span decades, with notable WGA and Emmy awards (2020, 2019, 2018) honoring his outstanding writing contributions to the daytime drama, "The Young and the Restless." Teacher Matt has worked on countless independent film projects, and has been recognized at dozens of festivals for his screenplays. In his own words, "It’s an absolute joy to see a student’s face light up when they realize that learning something new has just opened a series of opportunities they never knew existed. Each day is one of discovery, for all of us, and I would love to help others embrace that with an open and interested mind."
Having been born with a heart murmur, Matt has always had to watch what he eats. As a result, he's spent countless hours scouring through cookbooks, experimenting with all sorts of healthy meals and snacks (for better or worse), and creating some of his own recipes. A writer at heart, Matt knows the importance of balancing work and meal prep time. In fact, it's cooking and creating recipes that relaxes him - it's as though each meal is a story that he's creating, and every ingredient adds to the story and (hopefully) makes it better, ultimately leading to a conclusion that everyone's happy with.
Matt is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
