This educational and energetic 5-week series will teach kids of all ages about the fundamentals of basketball. Every week, they’ll strengthen their fitness and motor skills as they learn about the different types of passes, how to dribble, defend, pivot, rebound, and shoot with good form through a variety of drills. In the last week, they'll celebrate everything they've learned with a roundtable of teammate appreciations and basketball challenges (with prizes)! Minimum of 4 kids. Max of 8. Experience can take place in a driveway or backyard with a hoop, or at a local park/court. Please BYOB (bring your own basketball 🏀).
Carly is an experienced English and reading teacher, strong home chef, practicing artist, avid basketball player and practicing yogi. A dynamic and multi-talented individual, Carly embodies the vast creativity of a Grasshopper Kids teacher. She's passionate about positively impacting kids' lives by supporting their development and enabling them in areas in which she not only has expertise, but also great joy, to share. Her experiences are especially fun with small groups, generally designed for kids ages 6-12.
