Our "Crochet the Day Away!" experience is an introductory lesson in the basic skills of crochet, history of the art form, and an overview of different uses for crocheted materials. Children will be able to choose what project they are interested in, and have support in completing their design.
Beginning with “granny squares,” which are a fundamental building block for many crochet projects, kids can incorporate as many colors and patterns as they would like. They'll examine some completed crocheted projects to gain insight and inspiration, and learn in detail about hooks and yarn. Kids will learn several different stitches used in crochet: single crochet, double crochet, and chain link, for example, and have time to practice them. Finally, they'll get some uninterrupted "make" time, during which they'll get to enjoy crocheting (with help from Teacher Danielle!), and hopefully find themselves in a little bit of crochet "flow." 🧶
Gather a group of friends to turn up the fun, and the price goes down for everyone.
