This is a most epic Pokemon Experience, with a real Pokemon Master (Abbey has over 20 years of experience collecting and trading Pokemon cards!!). Designed for your Pokemon-lover child, ages 6-9, in an outdoor setting at your home or a nearby park.
Pokemon Charades, time spent learning to draw favorite Pokemon characters with sidewalk chalk (which also serves to develop fine motor skills), and Pokemon puzzle games like word search and catching Pokemon hiding within written mazes, kick this Experience off. Next, children will learn Pokemath! CDE standards will be considered when choosing age appropriate math. For example, a mini-lesson on fractions as illustrated through Pokemon cards. What fraction of your deck are water-type Pokemon? Fire-type? You get it!
A Brain Break will get kids moving and catching Pokemon together, and then the group will on nature collages. Using a drawn outline of a favorite character, and after walking the park with Abbey collecting as many leaves, fallen flowers, twigs, and any other interesting bits of nature they find, children will layer their pieces onto the character template until they're filled with color and nature's zest.
