Kindergarten Prep Camp

Kindergarten Prep Camp will provide a fun and hands-on experience for children entering kindergarten. Kids will learn and develop basic skills around numbers, letters, counting, and writing. The activities are entirely play based and also focused on developing social skills, whole brain learning, and self-control. This camp is intended to be entirely fun, stress-free, and a comfortable learning experience for your child throughout their early journey. Building foundational skills, for example a love of books as opposed to "reading" and "writing," is more along the lines of what will be achieved. This is a series to prepare kids for a happy transition to school.  🤗

About Elizabeth

Early Childhood, Baking, and French Teacher

Elizabeth lives in Petaluma, is a long-time preschool teacher (currently the director of a preschool in Sonoma), grandmother, and a "Mary Poppins of curriculum and pedagogy." She loves to introduce children to different ways of learning, and foster their interests in new things. She has over 60 units of early childhood education, and is CPR and First Aid certified. Fluent in French, Elizabeth teaches French, has worked in catering, and is an extensive cook and baker.

Elizabeth is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

My daughter adored the Fairy House Building and the Handicrafts classes she took. The teacher is amazing and came armed with so many good quality art supplies. I like that her supplies were higher quality than a "Michael's craft store." She also had supplies from nature. The teacher encourages creativity and individual design choices. Not everybody is coming home with the same thing. Definitely an A+ experience! I love the Grasshopper Kids classes my daughter has taken, I love the teacher, she loves it. Elizabeth created fairy magic for my 5 year old’s party! The children made fairy houses, listened to stories, and made fairy dust. The children loved the entire experience and were entertained for the entire two hours.

She handled everything and kept the children happy and entertained while the adults sat on the deck and put our feet up! It was everything my son wanted and more.

Chef Elizabeth handled two 3-year-olds in the kitchen with ease! Both children are French speaking and she communicated with them in the language which was awesome to see. When the baking was finished I enjoyed the story time and learning the history of the madeleines that they baked. We all had such a fun time and can’t wait to have her back!
