This immersive, outdoor activity teaches kids to observe their surroundings, and use their senses to discover new things you might find in nature. Using the outdoors as a classroom, kids will pursue their curiosities, test hypothesis, and think critically.
Kids will be challenged with a scavenger hunt to find items throughout a park or backyard, outdoor setting. Sarah will guide children through inquiry-based discussion and question-and-answer that explores sustainability and environmental protection, and lead the group through team-building games, show-and-tell, and drawing and building activities. Found and natural items will also be used for math and word-based problem-solving. This outdoors, hands-on learning experience will help kids develop a deep love for observation, and their natural environment.
