In this game play experience, kids will design their very own trading card ecosystem (similar to Pokemon and other trading card-based games). They will make their own plants, animals, foods, cultures, and people to live in their fictional environments. World-building games teach kids how parts of an ecosystem are interdependent, and also encourage creativity by allowing for entirely new rules different from those we take for granted in our own world (like gravity, for instance!).
An ideal experience for a small group, kids will kick things off with an intro exercise. A quick overview of how biological communities establish and interact. Chazz will share examples of pre-made cards, and the group will get started with designing and building their own environments. They can be based on real-life ecosystems found on Earth, or totally fictional!
For older children, a competitive, game-play system will be developed and incorporated. Kids will play against one another for the ultimate bragging rights!
