This weekly music series can focus on one instrument, or many! Guitar, Base, Drum, Keyboard or Piano. Or all of the above!

For the 4-week sampler series, kids will gain exposure to multiple instruments and sounds as they begin to explore music-making:

Week 1: Guitar
Week 2: Base
Week 3: Drums
Week 4: Keyboard/Piano (not provided)

Or, focus on a single instrument to dive deeper into its composition, musical history, and, of course, learning to play it. Layered throughout this series are lots of lessons on sound, sound waves, and how sound is generated. For example with guitar, kids will explore picking and strumming with one hand and fretting notes with the other. Whatever the instrument, they'll get to play in a freeform and exploratory way to gather a feel for how the instrument responds to their inputs.

There will also be listening activities to expose kids to iconic riffs they might have even heard before. Again with guitar as an example, "Smoke on the Water," "Seven Nation Army," Eye of the Tiger," and more. The goal is to inspire and get kids excited about all the sonic possibilities of an amazing piece of musical machinery. Best for ages 6+.

About Bryce

Bryce has loved music his entire life and decided to make it his career when around age 15. With a B.S. in Music Performance and Recording Arts from University of Colorado Denver, he's played hundreds of shows and spends the majority of his time working on my craft. Teaching music has only deepened his passion for the medium, and he especially enjoy interacting with kids and helping them find some of their earliest breakthroughs in music. Bryce has been teaching guitar for several years to students of all ages from 6-pre-teen.
