For kids ages 8 and up, after the introductory Grasshopper Kids crochet experience comes this yarn-filled, 3-5 week, crochet series during which kids will complete a crocheted rabbit or teddy bear by end. Ever experience will include some design, patterning, and learning new stitches and skills, so that all parts of the stuffy animal (head, body, face, accessories) come together seamlessly.

Get ready for an introduction to the mesmerizing and mirroring world of collage, and how one can use found images and words to enhance and emphasize their meanings. Kids will then get down to business cutting images and words they find interesting and inspiring; gather them into piles; prepare the page for gluing; attach their images onto a piece of heavy paper; and, voila! Kids may also be given a theme or piece of music to mimic for their collage artwork depending on age and experience level.

Kids will have a chance to practice and learn basic drawing skills with attention to form, shading, and composition in this introduction to pencil-drawing experience. Beginning with warm-up activities that explore one-line drawings and blind contouring, the majority of the experience will be dedicated to a study of a 3-dimensional object using graphite pencils.

This creative and hands-on experience for children ages 9 and up will introduce kids to the art of stamp-making. At the end of their experience, kids will leave with their own set of stamps that they can use indefinitely! Parents and kids alike give this experience their stamp of approval 👏

Our "Crochet the Day Away!" experience is an introductory lesson in the basic skills of crochet, history of the art form, and an overview of different uses for crocheted materials. Children will be able to choose what project they are interested in, and have support in completing their design. 🧶
