Tonya graduated in 2018 from Vassar College, where she majored in Drama, minored in Sustainability, and was awarded multiple honors for her acting and vocal performance and work in sustainability. Upon graduating, she moved to New York City where she performed professionally in regional theatre and taught students privately in voice, guitar, and music theory.
Tonya grew up in Boulder, and with a near-decade of private voice training under her belt, has been music directing and vocal coaching at youth theatre companies in Boulder and Conifer for the past few years. Tonya has done many wacky things for the theatrical stories she's told, including scarfing down a whole bowl of mac n' cheese, fencing with parasols, and chasing someone with a broom! She loves finding the wackiest things for her students to do to bolster courage and creativity!
Tonya is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
