About Marsha

Fashion designer and in-demand sewing instructor, Marsha has taught sewing privately for the past 13 years. Before teaching, she worked as a seamstress in her university's theater costume shop while studying to be designer. Marsha currently teaches a variety of after-school sewing programs, and has instructed hundreds of private students ages 3 and up in their homes, beginning with hand-sewing and more advanced technique on sewing machines for older aged schoolchildren. She's excited to bring needle and thread, creativity and fun, to your kids!

We LOVED everything about Grasshopper! The customer service experience was exceptional! I felt like so much intentionality was taken to ensure that the activity would be both age appropriate and fun for my kids. Our experience leader, Marsha, was so easy going and chatted with the kids during the experience, and really took the time to engage and get to know them. We are definitely going to be using Grasshopper again! Thank you!

My 4 year old LOVED his arts and crafts experience - making a love bug. He was engaged and excited all throughout the 2 hours, and was sad when the experience was over (he wanted the teacher to stay longer).

Cassie wasnโ€™t too sure about trying sewing, but ended up having a blast! The one on one attention helped her enjoy the learning process and ask more questions, plus helped her get the finished product she loves. The teacher was very patient and great at having not just a class, but a whole experience. Cassie enjoyed chatting, learning, and trying something new in a very low stress environment!
