4-Week Hand Sewing Series

Throughout this series, your child will explore the wonderful world of sewing. A variety of materials, including plastic needles, burlap, and buttons, will be used to learn basic hand-sewing techniques. Kids will enrich their hand-eye coordination by following specific steps for the development of the design. This special sewing experience will nurture their creativity, and support children in building beautiful works of art and developing their confidence in trying new things! Jai is a designer, sewing extraordinaire, and teacher. She's taught her craft to students young and old, and loves sharing her knowledge of design and sewing with others. She's also a mom to a creative and artistic 6 year-old girl who's both her muse and her inspiration!

Our Grasshopper experience was amazing! I have four very curious kids at different ages with different interests, and the experience had all four of them engaged the whole time. Also, as an educator, I was very impressed with how the teacher led the program. She obviously knew what she was doing, and the minute she left, my kids were asking for another experience.

Create your Own Box Aquarium

We loved our "Create Your Own Aquarium" session with Teacher Jai. Jai created such an engaging, exciting, and comfortable environment for our preschool-aged son. He was completely engaged for the full two hours, and we watched his confidence, focus, and pride grow throughout the session. Later, he told us that the highlight of his day was his time with Teacher Jai - a big compliment coming from a four-year-old! The session and logistics were a breeze, making it easy for us parents, and it was delightful to listen in on all of the learning and laughter. My girls made tutus with Jai! First, they got to color and design their “dream” tutu. Jai helped them choose colors and measure and bring the design to life. Jai was even kind enough to sew a mini tutu for their baby sister and used the extra material to quickly sew veils. My daughters, 4 and 6, were thrilled. They are really proud of the tutus that they made with Jai.
