Right now, the rangers who protect and interpret our national treasures are furloughed during the government shutdown. These dedicated educators are more than stewards of the forest, they’re storytellers, scientists, and mentors who usually spend much of their days inspiring kids. With their work on pause, Grasshopper is partnering with furloughed National Park Service interpretive rangers from Muir Woods to bring their expertise directly into schools (while also providing them with meaningful, paid teaching opportunities during this difficult time).
Through interactive storytelling and exploration, children will discover the secrets of ancient Coast Redwood trees and the vital role they play in our ecosystem. This adventure nurtures a deeper appreciation for the environment and the stewardship of our treasured national parks. 🌿
At Grasshopper Kids, our teachers are the magic makers. They inspire, open minds, and stir imaginations. We only partner with the best of the best, and we recruit, interview, background check, and fully vet everyone. Our teachers are musicians, athletes, chefs, current and former classroom teachers and librarians, artists, creatives, and more. All dedicated to sharing their life-long passions with your kids.
* Fully-vetted, background checked, and interviewed
