This experience is designed for children ages 4-8. They will discover and explore working with color using a variety of mediums from pastel, watercolor, marker and paint. Kids will learn how colors interact and play together through a variety of fun activities; starting with creating a color wheel, and moving into creating animals, decorating craft cut-out birds, and painting castles. They'll discover what happens when primary colors are mixed using paint and watercolor. Along with a series of fun and engaging activities, by the end they'll have a strong understanding of color, and completed numerous pieces of artwork. 🎨
Jesse is a college student at The Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, majoring in illustration. He has over 6 years of experience creating vector based and pixel art using digital art software for illustration and graphic design such as Procreate, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Fresco. When he's not in class, he can be found tutoring kids in art; playing sports like badminton, pickleball, and table tennis; hiking in nature; and spending time with his rescue cat.
Jesse is passionate about encouraging kids in their creativity, and teaching them visual art technique. He enjoys teaching children the fundamentals, such as figure and gesture drawing, perspective, different mark-making techniques, color theory, and composition. He also loves exploring and working with kids on popular art styles such as graphic novel / comic book, and manga.
