This game-filled experience for kids of all ages will help children develop situational awareness of the people and physical world around them, greater control of their bodies, mind-body connection, and the ability to self-regulate; that is, to move from excitement/activity into calm/focus. They'll also get plenty of exercise while having fun!
Chock-full of games, kids will rotate through classics like Red Light Green Light, dodgeball games, foam noodle “battles," Soccer, Tee-ball, Tag, Capture the Flag, Hide and Seek, Duck Duck Goose, Eye Spy, and Tug of War. Integrated within play, Jackson will introduce them to several mindful meditations and breathing practices. This experience is sure to tucker kids, while also centering them 🧘
When booked as a multi-week series, Jackson will deep-dive each week into a specific game or sport, while also balancing the 2-hours with a mix of games, mindfulness, technique, and free play.
Coach Jackson has over a decade of experience coaching and working with kids. His philosophy is that exploration and play through games and physical activities is one of the most basic and powerful ways to learn.
He's worked closely with children as an elementary Physical Education teacer; after school sports and programming (football, chess, wrestling, soccer, and general games); coaching extracurriculars like soccer and tee-ball; and early on in his career in a daycare setting. Many Bay Area kids have some of their first sports experiences with Coach Jackson, and his goal is to always bring the same appreciation for form and technique, enthusiasm for the game, working together while having fun to every learner!
