This stop motion animation experience will teach your child how to tell their own stories, straight out of their imaginations and channeled into film. Children will learn the basics of storytelling (character, setting, props, conflict, goal, and resolution), and how to use the medium of stop motion animation to illustrate their epic. They will watch a sample video, draw inspiration from the tales and movies they enjoy and the games and toys they play with, and jump into creative expression.
For longer length experiences, kids will begin learning about video editing, for example adding in voiceover, speeding up or slowing down frames, overlaying music and sound effects as well as text and visual graphics. This experience lends itself well to a Series of 4 weeks, throughout which kids will work on a short film and even practice live film-making with a camera and edited in iMovie.
Gather a group of friends to turn up the fun, and the price goes down for everyone.
