In this Yoga and Mindfulness Experience, children will learn the basics of body alignment, how to calm and energize themselves through breathing, basic stretches, and have fun working together in partner and group exercises. The Experience begins with guidelines that help children listen to their bodies, and stay safe throughout their practice. Familiar kids' games are adapted into fun, yoga-inspired movements and physical activities, and there will be balance challenges; freeze dance competitions; mirror games; partner stretches that inspire teamwork and communication amongst siblings and/or friends; and more! A mix of high energy moves and relaxing breaths are the key to this Experience winding up and down at just the right moments, captivating attentions and energetic spirits throughout. Yoga mats and/or towels not provided.

Coach Jackson has over a decade of experience coaching and working with kids. His philosophy is that exploration and play through games and physical activities is one of the most basic and powerful ways to learn.
He's worked closely with children as a Physical Education teacher in an elementary school; after school sports and programming (football, chess, wrestling, soccer, and general games); coaching extracurricular soccer; and early on in a daycare setting. Many Marin kids have their first soccer and tee-ball experiences with Coach Jackson, and with Grasshopper Kids he brings the same technique, enthusiasm for the game, and especially fun straight to your door!
