🌍 Dive into the intricate world of basket weaving and embark on a cultural exploration like no other! Students will discover the rich history and traditions of basket weaving from various cultures around the world. Through hands-on activities, kids will learn to source natural materials and transform them into beautiful, functional works of art. Each session will bring new opportunities to understand and appreciate the craftsmanship and stories woven into each basket. Kids will not only develop patience and fine motor skills but also gain a deeper respect for nature and cultural heritage. It's a journey of creativity and learning that will leave them with a sense of accomplishment and a unique piece of handmade artistry! 🧺✨

Class Level Details

Parking Instructions

All staff should park in our large gated parking lot on the north side of campus. Your team can enter through the driveway and if the gate is closed there is a buzzer on the left side to ring for entry. If entering through the gate, when the gate is closed, you will need to enter campus through another smaller exterior pedestrian gate with another buzzer for entry. If the gate in the parking lot is open, please enter through our main entrance on Sheffield Ave.

Arrival Instructions

When arriving staff will be required to sign in at our front desk and issued a visitor badge. Staff should check in with a member of our after school team (ideally Rob or Kayla) for information on picking up and dropping off students for and after class.

Departure Instructions

Staff are required to pick up students from our after school program and return them when class is complete. No parent pickup is required as that is handled by our team.

Site-Specific Information

When finished, please make sure rooms are returned to their original condition and all chairs are stacked on top of tables.

Dancer, Aerialist and Artist

Lifelong dancer turned aerialist, Dalia brings a unique blend of creativity and movement to the classroom. While her home brims with crafts in various stages of creation, reflecting her love for artistic expression; in study, she guides children through the stages of the creative process. Dalia deeply respects each child's autonomy and creativity, providing the tools for kids to express themselves in ways that resonate deeply and personally. From discovering the magic in the trees while building fairy houses, exploring color theory through painting, to channeling energy in freeze dance sessions, Dalia delights in accompanying children on their creative journeys.
