Teachers are required to check in at the front desk when arriving at PBS campus. PBS will provide you with a class list and a room to use. You’ll need to mark students as present or absent at the beginning of each session.

Departure Instructions

ELC: Please escort ELC students back to the ELC yard and deliver the students to an AfterCare staff member.

K-5 only: Parents and Guardians will pick up students at the end of the session. All parents and guardians must sign the attendance sheet with the time and their initials. Students should not leave classroom unless a parent has signed out the student. A PBS AfterCare staff member will pick up students 5 minutes after the session ends to escort the students to the AfterCare portable. If for any reason an AfterCare staff member does not pick up students 5 minutes after the session has ended, you may walk all remaining students to the AfterCare portable and check them in with an AfterCare staff member there.

Please check out at the front desk upon departure.

Site-Specific Information

While in class, if a student requests to leave the classroom area for any reason, including but not limited to go to the restroom, get water, to the office, ALWAYS send the student with a buddy when leaving the classroom area.

Enrichment classes happen outdoors and they hold the ELC enrichment classes outside. You are scheduled in a tented outdoor classroom space in their ELC. There is not a piano in the space and since it's an outdoor space, they don't keep supplies there.

What Parents Are Saying

“”
We LOVED everything about Grasshopper! The customer service experience was exceptional! I felt like so much intentionality was taken to ensure that the activity would be both age appropriate and fun for my kids. Our experience leader was so easy going and chatted with the kids during the experience, and really took the time to engage and get to know them. We are definitely going to be using Grasshopper again! Thank you!

Grasshopper offered my daughter an opportunity to learn in a vibrant, fun setting that was continuously customized for her attention span and interests. Her Grasshopper teacher was fun, engaging and supremely personable. She took the time to get to know my daughter before diving into anything. I felt more than comfortable leaving my daughter in such capable hands…and love that she truly learned some new things from the experience. We will be using Grasshopper regularly to broaden her horizons and expose her to new concepts in a safe and compelling way. The icing on the cake is that the experience took place in our home, at a time that was convenient for us!

Our Grasshopper experience was amazing! I have four very curious kids at different ages with different interests, and the experience had all four of them engaged the whole time. Also, as an educator, I was very impressed with how the teacher led the program. She obviously knew what she was doing, and the minute she left, my kids were asking for another experience.
