About Paul
Paul brings over a decade of teaching and mentoring experience across a variety of settings, including classrooms, camps, and the natural world, focusing on creativity, curiosity, and connection. Specializing in K–8 science, Paul has a gift for transforming complex concepts into engaging, hands-on activities, such as student-built gardens and Muggle Quidditch tournaments. His "Fun Forensics" elective is a student favorite. Beyond the classroom, Paul has been a summer adventure leader at Kennolyn Camps and an Aquarium Guide at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, where he shares marine science, often in Tagalog, with global visitors. A current student at UC Santa Cruz completing his degree in Earth & Planetary Sciences and Anthropology, Paul fosters inclusive and joyful learning environments where every child feels seen, heard, and inspired. When not teaching, Paul enjoys organizing board game nights, delving into storytelling through curriculum writing, and building Pokémon teams with ambitious challengers.
