Embark on a thrilling STEM adventure where engineering meets art with origami and long balloons! In this exciting learning series, students will dive into the fascinating world of shapes and structures, using both paper and balloons to create captivating designs. 🌟 Imaginations will soar as kids twist colorful balloons into whimsical creations and fold paper into intricate origami forms. As they build and experiment, they'll discover the wonders of geometry, pattern recognition, and problem-solving. This creative journey is not just about building unique models; it's about inspiring curiosity and a love for learning in a playful and dynamic way. 🎈

Feel free to park in any open space.

Arrival Instructions

Upon arrival, please check in at the main office. On the first day, you will receive a campus map and be escorted to your designated classroom. Some classes take place in shared spaces, so please be mindful when leaving materials or student projects. Each class will have an assigned Group Leader to assist with classroom management and encourage student participation. If you would like a student roster, please inform a member of the Site Leadership Team, and one will be provided.

You are expected to bring enough materials to facilitate each class. However, if additional supplies are needed, a member of the Site Leadership Team will be happy to assist. 

Departure Instructions

Upon departure, group leaders will escort their student group from their last class of the day to the multi-purpose room to prepare for pickup. We use a valet system for pickup, where student's names will be called via walkie-talkie and they are sent from the MPR to the valet pickup line.

About Chigusa

Artist, Jeweler, Athlete and Multi-Disciplinary Teacher
Chigusa loves working with kids, has worked as a children's art teacher for 5 years, and has many passions to share! Among them are jewelry-making, key-chain-making, Sumi Calligraphy, painting, gardening, Japanese language and culture, making sushi, and learning about animals and the outdoors.

Teacher Chigusa is also a talented athlete, particularly in swimming which she's coached for many years. As a student, she was also a member of the competitive basketball and Kendo (Japanese martial arts) teams.

Chigusa is vaccinated against COVID-19, CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
