Additional Notes:
Step into the colorful world of collage, where creativity knows no bounds! 🎨 Although Pablo Picasso and Cubism may spring to mind, the art of collage—stemming from the French word for "glued papers"—is a much older and dynamic technique perfect for artists of all ages. Through this enchanting journey, students will explore the fascinating history of collage and discover inspiring artists like Hannah Hoch and Romare Bearden. As they cut, layer, and glue their way to artistic masterpieces, children will not only express their individuality but also develop fine motor skills and imagination. Who knows what amazing creations they'll bring to life?

Parking Instructions

Feel free to park in any open space. Student drop-off and pick-up occur from 8:00-8:30am and 4:30-5:00pm.

Arrival Instructions

Upon arrival, please check in at the main office with the Site Lead, Mariah Miller. On the first day, you will receive a campus map and be escorted to your designated classroom. Some classes take place in shared spaces, so please be mindful when leaving materials or student projects. Each class will have an assigned Group Leader to assist with classroom management and encourage student participation. The Group Leaders will be responsible for accompanying students to the bathroom, recess breaks, and lunch. Instructors will meet students in the designated classroom for each enrichment period.

We expect enrichment providers to bring enough materials to facilitate each class. However, if additional supplies are needed, a member of the Site Leadership Team will assist.

Departure Instructions

On the last day of camp, we ask enrichment providers to reset the classroom to how it was before they came in. Please check-out with the Site Lead, Mariah Miller, before heading out on the last day. Thank you!

During afternoon pickup, group leaders will escort their student group from their last class of the day to the multi-purpose room to prepare for pickup. We use a valet system for pickup, where student's names will be called via walkie-talkie and they are sent from the MPR to the valet pickup line.

Site-Specific Information

Staff bathrooms are located in the main hallway near the water fountains. Please do not use student bathrooms.

What Parents Are Saying

“”
We LOVED everything about Grasshopper! The customer service experience was exceptional! I felt like so much intentionality was taken to ensure that the activity would be both age appropriate and fun for my kids. Our experience leader was so easy going and chatted with the kids during the experience, and really took the time to engage and get to know them. We are definitely going to be using Grasshopper again! Thank you!

Grasshopper offered my daughter an opportunity to learn in a vibrant, fun setting that was continuously customized for her attention span and interests. Her Grasshopper teacher was fun, engaging and supremely personable. She took the time to get to know my daughter before diving into anything. I felt more than comfortable leaving my daughter in such capable hands…and love that she truly learned some new things from the experience. We will be using Grasshopper regularly to broaden her horizons and expose her to new concepts in a safe and compelling way. The icing on the cake is that the experience took place in our home, at a time that was convenient for us!

Our Grasshopper experience was amazing! I have four very curious kids at different ages with different interests, and the experience had all four of them engaged the whole time. Also, as an educator, I was very impressed with how the teacher led the program. She obviously knew what she was doing, and the minute she left, my kids were asking for another experience.
