About Allison

Allison is a passionate and accomplished educator with a deep commitment to integrating the arts into classroom learning. With a BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Tufts University, a BA in Elementary Education from The College of Santa Fe, and an Early Childhood Educator Associate Teacher certificate from UCLA Extension, Allison brings a rich background to her teaching. Co-founding The Saturday Museum School and developing a museum studies curriculum for Thomas Starr King Middle School highlights her innovative approach. Now based in the Bay Area, she is pursuing a master's in Museum Studies at the University of San Francisco. Her focus on developmentally appropriate curriculums and strengths-based teaching nurtures students' creativity and confidence.

The kids and staff are outstanding but everyone is ready for a well deserved break!

We ended the workshop with a collage activity that transformed into an Eric Carle inspired butterfly. Butterflies are pollinators and help plants grow.

The expected high energy was present. I think the nature walk was a good transition into our ‘specimen’ table.

The kids began with a ‘nature walk’ funding seeds and plants in the school yard.
