About Emily
Emily brings 12 years of experience as a teaching artist and outdoor educator, merging creativity with a profound love for nature. She earned her BFA in Acting from Boston University, where her studies included an inspiring year in the Tuscan hills. Her adventurous spirit led her to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary in South Africa, and eventually, her passion for the outdoors inspired her to complete the Long Trail and earn a Wilderness First Responder Certification. At Voyageur Outward Bound School in Minnesota, she guides students through backpacking, canoe trips, and winter expeditions. Emily infuses her classes with creativity and enthusiasm, fostering a love for nature and learning in her students. When off duty, she explores Colorado’s wilderness through running, hiking, ski-joring, and rock climbing.
