Class went really well. The only complaint I can say is one of the students pulled me aside and let me know how disappointed they were in the class because this was the only dinosaur activity he got to do (he was absent last class for our Dino cave building). I felt terrible and wish communication would have been better between grasshopper, the school and I so I wasn't put in this position. I would have done dinosaur activities from the start had I known and not a dinosaur themed stem class.
We built and deconstructed dinosaurs today! There was some time after class so we did some Dino themed Simon says.

Class went great! The students listened well and all of them loved the cannoli and craft!
We went to Italy today and made cannoli! The students rolled their dough around the cannoli forms, while they were baking they measured and mixed the filling. Once the dough was done they filled the cannoli. Once they were done making the cannoli they made pretend pasta with felt noodles, pasta sauce and Pom pom meatballs.

Class went really great! The students listened to each direction well and had no problem with chopping all ingredients.
We made Brazilian salsa vinaigrette! The students chopped up the tomatoes, onions, tomatoes and parsley then measured the salt, pepper, olive oil and red wine vinegar. After all the ingredients were in the bowls they mixed them up and enjoyed!

Class went really well! All of the students were so excited to make slime and did such a great job listening.
We made Dino slime today! I had the students measure and mix their ingredients. They then added mini dinosaurs to the slime!

Class went great! The students all had so much fun being able to make a warm snack during a snowy day. I found counting as a group helped everyone stay engaged and not running about while they were not scooping the powdered sugar so I will incorporate that into more classes.
We went to France and made Beignets and hot chocolate today! The students cut their pastries into 3 pieces, baked it and then shook it in powdered sugar. I included a lot of counting this class making sure all students counted out their 3 pastries they cut and all counted together the 5 scoops of powdered sugar each of them would scoop into their baggy. Each of them poured their hot chocolate mix into their cups with a tablespoon and half a cup of oat milk.

Class went great today! Everyone had a lot of fun and wanted to peel more apples (specifically to eat the apple peels). I didn't have to ask the students to listen once!
We went to Central Europe today! I had the students wash their hands first and the apples. After they turned the knob to the apple peeler and corer and placed their apples into the instant pot. Then the students squeezed the lemon slices into the apples and I sprinkled a little salt and cinnamon into the apples and cooked them up. While the apples were cooking we drew fruit baskets and read a book. Once the apples were done we mixed them up and ate them together!

Class went great today! The students all enjoyed cutting up the vegetables and only had one time that they needed to get up and have a movement break.
Today we made Tabbouleh! I started off by having all the students line up and wash their hands and told them about the country and food we were going to make. Afterwards I had all the students line up again and wash their produce. I helped them cut up their parsley, cucumber, tomatoes and green onions. Then they measured out the other ingredients and put them into their bowls. After the students were done I helped them trace their hands to make doves to embrace Lebanons values of friendship.

This class had 4 students that had a very hard time listening. I tried multiple different methods to gain their attention such as 123 eyes on me and having them repeat 12 eyes on you. I tried praising the students when they would listen so they would want to continue getting praise and I also tried telling them I'd call them whatever silly nickname they wanted if they listened really well but they still had a very difficult time with transitions in particular. One of the students kept calling me and other students mean names as well and even with asking him to please use kind words he did not listen.
We played kickball today! I had all the students sit in a circle with their legs like a pizza slice. They went around the circle, said their name first and what they want to add to the pizza for the stretch. Afterwards we did our warm up with red light green light. We then went over what kick ball was and how to play. We practiced and then got into the game. After the game we sat down, took deep breaths and did some affirmations along with what went well today, if we enjoyed kick ball and what our favorite part was.

Class went great today! The students had a blast creating the spiders and talking about their costumes for tomorrow.
We did American culture today! We celebrated Halloween with chocolate marshmallow spiders. I had the students cut their pretzel sticks in half and count out 6 legs for the spiders. They dipped the marshmallows in chocolate, counted out 9 marshmallows for each spider and counted out 2 eyes. Afterwards we had some time to make some glitter glue spiders on webs.

Class went great! Everyone did a great job helping each other and being patient while I blended the hummus ingredients.
We made hummus from Syria today! I had the students each squeeze the lemon juice and add an ingredient into the bowl then we blended it all up! We didn't have time for a craft today so we just read a book and ate our snack.
