Class went pretty well. Today, this is a Pre-K and K class. So it's full of a bunch of rambunctious energy and is always going to be a little bit of a hassle. But today went really smoothly. I made sure to give the kids a bit more. We will break since they had a been off school for a week so getting them back in the routine was necessary. The class was interrupted a little bit when Reverend Macias lead. Apparent tour through the classroom, which was, you know, that's how it works when you're doing after school. Sometimes, the actual people who run the school or still using the facilities, but it worked well, a couple kids got distracted, but I got them back in to, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, overall the class went smoothly,
today in class, I took attendance, ask the children to Tay, what they did during their week off from school. Then I, the quick reminder of expectations. And we shred our first book, which was, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, I did a lot of stops for comprehension and a bunch of Wiggle breaks during the story as well. After that we did a longer wiggle break, then I moved on to doing Green Eggs and Ham in which I asked kids to help me identify them rhyming words. After we finish green eggs and ham, we did coloring. For the rest of the class with the more advanced kids writing the words, I do not like green eggs and ham over there coloring page. Well Sam, I Am and his unnamed friend. So after that, I brought the kids back for a quick recap of the day and our lessons and then we took attendance and the children were dismissed.

Today was rough. We only had a half the students and the half that we had were the more energetic and not actually interested in the story element, couple kids who were having a hard time focusing and sitting down. It got to the point where one of their normal teachers was walking by the classroom and assisted Me by taking the kids out of the classroom. And giving you my talking to you about proper School Behavior. I'd already met the teeth. This their primary teacher ahead of time and we discuss this and but it was a bit rough today, we got through the story. I had to do a lot more movement. Breaks a few reminders about sitting carefully in your seat. And when I would turn the kid would be lying on the desk and it had to be. And that's when the teacher came in was like, no, that's not acceptable. I was just about to do that but someone else with more Authority and the kids respected did it. It was rough, but that's life and that's why I'm here. I just pivoted and adjusted the activity to make it work, better with kids who were really excited to go home. Have a long weekend and had a bunch of activities and for full of energy, that's life.
Today in class, I took attendance half. The class had left early. There was Valentine's Day and of her school activities happening. So, it was a smaller class than usual. I asked the kids a little Icebreaker about what they did today, and they talked about the fun activities. They had for Valentine's Day, and someone's birthday. These kids were full up on energy. They were so excited. I read. Amelia Bedelia is first day at school and took the time to stop and ask comprehension questions. Some of the kids were struggling a bit with understanding why Amelia Bedelia got confused, but then we'd explain it and at the end, they were able to guess and understand most of what it was. I had a specific Crafts prepared. But two of the students were really, really antsy. I did a few stretch breaks, a few movement breaks. And I decided that this was not the right day to do a complicated crafts, especially because many of the kids who were very excited about that sort of thing we're here today. So I did a free time simpler craft involved. Being paper folding and making cutouts. So you can create patterns that seem to work. Again, the kids did that for a while, we cleaned up and it was a bit of a hassle getting looking up today, but we got it and then I was able to release the kids.

Class went really smoothly today. The having spent time with these kids, I was better able to prepare material that met them at their level. And I believe I've gotten pretty close to the point where I was able to get the Pre-K kids, who are still really, really struggling to not be wiggling all the time. And to pay attention for extended periods of time. Whereas The Kindergartners in the main class, these kids are bright. And the curriculum, they have is pretty advanced in comparison. So there's a bit of a gap between them but I was able to do my best with a few reminders today of another know it's book time now and overall class Behavior was really was pretty. Good, are one big Troublemaker kid needed about more reminders as well, but it was less Troublesome and interrupting today. After I did some changes about seating arrangement, Ain't so overall, it was really well for classic kindergarteners and Pre-K really well-behaved.
The day I took roll, got the kids into the classroom reiterated, rules about not touching or moving any of the things that the teacher who normally uses that room does. And then we read our first book Pete, the Cat and it not so groovy day I having seen the kids homework on the board, use that as a springboard for asking them questions about letter blends. Which the kids were all too eager to answer. After you finish the book, we did a movement break and we got our wiggles out. Then we moved on to the second book of the day, Amelia Bedelia and the first day of school And for that one, I was asking more comprehension questions and giving the kids a little help with some of the idioms that they weren't aware of. After we finished a book, we then did a coloring page about Amelia Bedelia and the kids were well-behaved in their seats. And coloring. Once that finished, I took roll again. As we ready to dismiss the kids, making sure everyone had all their things and the classroom was left clean and tidy.

Josh went really smoothly. This is a really nice group, it's a small group, but the kids did their best. They were invested for the most part. A few of them were distracted or making noise in class and needed some redirection. But overall, we got through the book on time to be able to have enough time to spend on the art half of the class and it went really well. Also, I was observed during it so we'll see what those notes correspond with. Thank you.
I, Took attendance as I gathered the students for class we enter the room and then I did an icebreaker asking kids what their favorite snack was or if they don't have a favorite what was the one they had most recently. Then I introduce today's book Olivia the Spy by Ian Falconer as we read I asked for compressions and reviewed some tricky, new vocab words. When the book was finished, I introduced the silhouette art. We were doing, where we would Trace out the shadow of an animal and then glue it on a paper to create the illusion silhouette. I had some pre-written actually pre-drawn Silhouettes. They could use that they got stuck which a few of them did at the end we cleaned up. I then confirmed my attendance and sent them on their way. Thank you.

Class, went pretty smoothly today. One of the high-energy kids was absent, but there were still issues with the two of the youngest kids in the class who were really rambunctious and needed a lot of redirection. They weren't really interested in And so my best bet was just a redirect and keep them engaged as best. I could beyond that the ever kids weren't. Well, I did have to remind a few kids to not use bathroom words when on their drawing break overall, though they are well, adjusted class. It went pretty good smoothly,
Today we started off with a little Icebreaker asking the kids. What they learned in school today a small movement break and then we read our first story biscuit over the course of the story. I asked comprehension questions and had some of the older kids help read a page. And asked a lot of questions about what was happening in the story. We moved on to the next story. We will break. Then next story, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly for that one. I worked on rhyming words with the kids and helping them determine what words rhyme with others. We had wiggle break then drawing break and then after the drawing break I gave the kids a series of questions about what rhyming Word, finishes, the sentence. The pig is Big. The fox is on the box, those sorts of things, then we reviewed what the kids drew today and then sent them home.

Class today went pretty well. We I felt that the behaviors were a little calmer kids, got some new know me better. There was one kid full of Rowdy Active Energy, but he was able to be redirected a few times, nothing serious. I was overall pretty happy with how it went.
I first did nice paper with. I ask them what their favorite color was and to say their name. Then I read a book to them foxtails by Amy Lowery collection of Aesop's. Fables about the fox character. During the reading, I would ask the kids comprehension questions as well, as having them help me. With tricky words, pretty much every kid was able to read the hard words, these kids are pretty good readers after we, Finish the book. I then did a paper plate mask activity, where we would color and design paper plate, masks that look like animals. And the kids seem to really enjoy it then clean up and sending them home.

That's went really well. This is probably the best behaved group of Kinder's of a had the teach after school with, they were really good about following the rules when redirected, they were one kid, really had impulse-control issues, but even though he needs a little more redirection overall, it went very smoothly.
Today, in class by introduce myself to the kids and set up some basic rules period. These kids were very well, behaved kindergartners and TK. They understood the rules and they needed only minimal amount of redirection. We read in ice breaker about what your favorite fruit is. And then we began reading. The story, don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. And after we read the story, I would stop and ask questions and get the kids involved as active listeners. The kids were excited about the story, the 3tk girls a little less. So, but that's okay. Then they had a coloring page featuring the pigeon and I asked them to draw a picture of their favorite animal to be a friend to the pigeon. If they finished early, many of the kids did some didn't We did a wiggle break and about two-thirds way through and then mostly kids wanted to go back to drawing and then the class ended and I escorted them off to Reverend Macias who took over from there. Thank you.

Class work out pretty well as a teacher today, I arrived to The Venue early met, the Headmaster River Macias, who showed me the location. I'd be using, I set up my supplies and the seats and prepared kids came in. The class, I took attendance and the class went really well. I didn't, I mean didn't have many problems with sites. Happens reminded kid to keep his voice down in the doors.
Today in class, I introduced myself to the kids. We need an icebreaker where I asked them about their favorite fruit. We read a book together, big guy stole my ball by Mo Willems. I asked some comprehension questions along the way. Many of the kids that already read this book before which made a little interesting. And then we switched to our art component, which was to draw a big, big thing next to a small thing similar. ER to how it was done in the book with a coloring book page, as well as they finished early, which they pretty much all get the rest of the class throw was taken up with the kids working on their coloring book pages. And that lasted pretty much until the very end there were a couple kids you finished early and they got some extra scratch paper which they use to do some independent drawing. I ask the kids, some questions about the books, they read already, which include most of the books on my reading list. So, I'm going to be looking for new books for the kids. But overall, good, the kids. For the most part pretty well-behaved. There were one or two really rambunctious ones but it worked really well.
