It was good, though the students were very antsy after a 2 hour class and the end of class was a bit chaotic. I got them working together to clean up and that helped to give them a task to focus on together.
Today was a double class so it was 2 hours. We spent half the class for creating anything the kids wanted to create. The second half of the class was for show and tell for their fairy creations. Kids showed off their spell books, their hamster and fairy houses, their fairy blankets, their favorite books, and more. One student made a car for her hamster. Another student made a magic car for her fairy for Halloween. We had lollipops for treats at the end and celebrated a fun last day of class!

It was very smooth! This class is a fun group to work with.
We wrote stories about our fairies. Some opted to make spell books and a couple made some hamster clothes and tiny instruction books for their hamsters. One student wrote a spell book entirely of pictures that showed how to turn one thing into another, like a watering can into a bag of candy (very handy instructions). It ended with the story of a magical star. Another student had some light-up fairy crowns from a party she had, so she brought them to share with the whole class!

It went well. We had two observers there. The kids were super creative and it was a fun class.
Finished fairy wings and started working on woodland creature masks. The students were excited to put their creativity into the mask creation.

It went well. The project took longer than I thought it would so we'll complete it next time.
We made fairy wings out of card stock and decorating materials. The kids had a great time. We didn't quite finish so next class will be making the wings wearable. 😄

It was great. I underestimated how long the project would take, but we can complete it next time.

It was a lot of fun. The kids are getting into a routine and are better about picking up, waiting their turns, etc. They were really excited about fairy wands today.
We made fairy wands. It was a lot of fun. My favorite moment in class today was when the whole class broke into singing "The Dot Song" (https://youtu.be/-ZQMhdYJhsA?feature=shared) while they constructed their fairy wands. It was a moment of pure joy.

It went well. Students were well-behaved and in good spirits, and said they really enjoyed the class. Clean up was hard again even after I used a few new strategies. I will need to think about the best solution to this moving forward.
We built fairy homes out of boxes and paper bags. Students used lots of materials to decorate their fairy homes.

It was fun. The students were well behaved and the school was supportive. I think next time I'll start clean up a little earlier.
We introduced ourselves, talked about and agreed to class norms, made fairies, and named them. Some memorable names include Penelope, Phoebe, Cinderella, Bobo, Mimi, and Fleem.
