About Shira

Shira is a passionate educator and artist based in San Francisco, dedicated to crafting inclusive and imaginative learning experiences for children. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education at San Francisco State University, which enhances her work as a special education art teacher and teaching artist. Shira artfully combines creativity and empathy, empowering students to express themselves and build confidence through engaging hands-on projects. As a multifaceted artist, Shira enjoys working in painting, mural creation, collage, and graphic design. Beyond the classroom, she loves discovering local galleries and farmers markets, continuously bringing fresh inspiration to her teaching.
