Amazing! The kids are excited about their drawings. There's a lot of positive engagement in the class, encouragement and compliments flowing between students.
We continued the Halloween theme, but today I introduced a new technique using crayon with watercolor to draw spider webs. Students then drew their spiders and cut them out. Afterward, I helped them cut a slit in the middle and glue the spider to a "handle" that slides through the slit. Magic! The spider moves up and down against the watercolor web. The kids were amazed and so happy.

It was very successful despite being not 100%.
I caught a cold but still taught the class wearing a mask. We did a "pumpkin" theme with a surprise folding style and cute animal reveal. The kids were so excited, they were happy and sad when class ended because they wanted to keep going. They made so many folded papers. We might extend this activity next week since some students want to continue drawing the examples.

The class went well after the break for Yom Kippur last week. Though some students were restless, I successfully redirected their energy into productive activities.
Today I introduced students to the contemporary artist Romero Britto. After presenting his distinctive style, students created their own artwork emulating his artistic expression. I also shared Elmer's story, and students will draw elephants in Britto's style inspired by this narrative.

It was great! Lots of engagement amongst the students.
We drew bunnies today! 🐰🐇🐰🐇 The children asked where I was last week, and I asked how their class had been. Their answer was enthusiastic—good! They mentioned enjoying lots of free drawing and other art activities. 🙂 We started the class with a connection-building game that really excited them. I focused on helping some of the "perfectionist" children take risks and explore their own drawing styles. I also demonstrated my own imperfect drawings to show them that art doesn't need to be perfect to convey meaning.

It was great! They’re engaged and I assumed 2 students drop from the class because of conflicts.
The class one great. I think the the children or the students drawn out today and they're very excited, we call it mr. Hood. We introduce mr. Hood last week and today we draw the barn owl and also the great horned owl. And I play a little game in the beginning. Guess the Animal. So we asked our I acted out Some animals and they guess. And then we had to pollen tears to act out the animals and a gas. And it was it was really fun. So yeah, the kids have fun and withdrawing the house and then we did the rock art at the end as so they can bring it home. So they draw now or they can draw a pattern on its a creative type of drawing. Thank you. You.

It was great! I’m excited for the next class.
The class went smoothly. I prepared two drawings but we only completed one. I introduced Mr. Owl, whom the children renamed Mr. Hoot. Since everyone seemed to love owls, I'll include them as a topic in our next session. We concluded by reading Pete the Cat and asking the class if they'd like to draw it next week. A few students became distracted, but I successfully redirected their attention back to the lesson. I learned several recall techniques used at the school that I'll implement in future classes.
