Excellent day in class. The children enjoyed playing the percussion instruments.

Today, what we did in class was we listen to the real Hello Song which is based on a song from a Sierra Leone, and I had two children, listen to that. And then we actually did The Hello Song after that, we did the name chant, everyone around the room and everyone did their name their name with the name. Chan after that, I passed out different types of percussion instruments to each child. I told them what the instrument was and then I filled them pictures of black and white pictures. Or drawings rather of each instrument, then we play the game called you can and it's you can play your tambourine or you can play your drums or you can play your xylophone or whatever and we went around the room and each time a held up the card, the person who had that instrument would play that particular instrument. Well, I sang that you can some it went very well, no complaints. Everyone did a good job. Then after that, I passed out, stickers to each and every one of the children because every one of them did an excellent job too. Today.

Class went very, very well. Today, I have 12 new students that weren't here. Last time that I did this program. Everyone did a good job, everyone. Followed directions. Everyone did a very well. The class was great.

Okay, so today what we did was we started with class rules then we did The Hello Song after that we did the name chant. So I could learn all the children's names. Then we did Head Shoulders Knees and Toes saying that. And we also sang To The Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and the Hokey Pokey and everyone did a good job.

Hello Song The students know it very well now and have put their own “hand motions” to the song. Name Chant… Kodaly Notations I did a quick “quiz “ to see if they remember note names ( ie.. whole note, quarter note etc) They have memorized all the main note symbols and did an excellent job on recognizing them and saying how many beats each note gets… We listened to and danced to the Chipmonks Christmas Song. We played the Music Match Game. Each student got 3 game pieces … Everyone did a great job of matching the game pieces with the instruments on the game board. Lastly, I surprised each student with a Happy Holiday gift , wished them a Happy Holiday , dismissed class and walked them to the after school staff.

Class went well… students enjoyed the musical chairs game and the Holiday Calendar surprise….

During The 4:30 class at FASSV … we sang the Hello Song … and played the rhythm name game We did the music symbol match game. I sang and read the book Albuquerque Turkey I gave each student a “ holiday turkey” sticker and wished them a happy thanks giving…

4:35 FASSV PS Students We sang the hello song, did Kodaly exercises , played the music symbol board game, listened to and watched a Chipmunks Christmas video song… I am teaching the students this song…

The children were extra high energy today so I took the time to let them dance for about a minute….after shaking the wiggles out… we got back to work…

The 4:00 PK class at the FASSV started off with taking roll and the children singing back HERE…. Then we did a Kodaly rhythm lesson and a music symbol recognition board game…then we watched and listened to the CHIPMUNKS Christmas Song video and afterward.. We learned the song .
