So much fun… the children listened and were very receptive…

We Sang the HELLO song went over class rules played specific rhythms with rhythm sticks Learned a NAME GANG with rhythm sticks Learned what music notes look like and how to count each kind of note Learned an action song from the Caribbean Islands. We will do these exercises all month .

Class went well. I did have a few interruptions and distractions, however, these issues were quickly taken care of.

I had 5 students today . Grades K - 2. 2 returning students and 3 new students. We went over rules for the classroom and learned a call and response HELLO / Greeting song. I explained exactly what I will be teaching the students in the upcoming weeks; The musical alphabet, the -C- major, Kodaly rhythms and learning folk and world music songs to play on boomwhackers.
